Abstract
This training guide spotlights the challenges and rights of women sanitation workers, whose labour is often undervalued and whose vulnerabilities are shaped by gender, caste, and informality. The module weaves together constitutional protections, the PoSH Act, and practical guidance through participatory methods, aiming to demystify workplace rights and grievance mechanisms. Through case-based learning and discussion, it empowers women workers and those who support them to recognise discrimination, assert their rights, and seek redress, fostering dignity, safety, and systemic change within urban sanitation workforces.
