Indian cities are on the cusp of one of the largest construction waves in history. By 2030, 600 million Indians will live in urban areas1, expanding the real estate market to USD 1 trillion2. This could rise to USD 6 trillion by 2050; crucially, three-quarters of the buildings that will exist in 2050 are yet to be built. The way this new urban stock is delivered will shape India’s economy, cities, and climate footprint for generations.
